I^eKalb niaiiiiivey • • • • PARTY AT SERVICE CENTER ’The Service Center was the scene of a lovely party • Wednesday after noon when the cadet wives of class 44-H entertained the wives of the cadets of the new class 44-1, at a dessert-bridge party. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Myers and Mm. Sorenson and there were 24 cadet wives present. Dessert, cake and punch was served from a lovriy center table of white cloth, yellow roses and yellow candles, after which bridge was played with Mrs. A. W. Habeeb and Mm. Maurice Clay acting aa instructors in the game. MRS. W. J. MAYFIELD ENTERTAINS THE U.D.C. The Chapter was entertained at tbe home of Mrs.-W. J. Mayfield on Mon day afternoon, April 3. The meeting was well attended. Reports from of ficers and committees showed satis factory work accomplished and espec ially gratifying was the report of Mrs. U. N. Myers, chairman of patriotic ac tivities. The Chapter again contributed to- wvds the Red Cross Fund Drive. Mm. R. M. Kennedy very graciously presented to the Chapter one of her lovely oil paintings, the subject being tall white and red striped lilies, nam ed "After-glow- of the Confederacy.' Arrangements were partially made for May 10th Memorial Day. All mem bem are asked to make wreaths for graves at ctraetery.
