Her'splendid talk showed the usual study and wide re- •ssreh which is characteristic of her work. Among the many interesting poems read was an original by Miss Mumford which brought much ap- planse. The membership committee present ed the name of Mrs. Chariton, who was elected to active membership of the club. .Mrs. B. P. DeLoacbe announced that s general plant exchange would * be held on her porch the afternoon of April 1. The blue ribbon for the most artis tic variegated arrangement of spring flowers was awarded Mrs. W. D. Whitaker. Mrs. Arnett and Mrs. Ken nedy received second and third awards. An exhibit, outstanding for its beau ty and horticultural perfection, was that of Mrs. E. B. Mobley. It con- uined 20 varieties of lovely spring blooms.
