'Hie excitement of the game was highly intensified by a tremendously spirited audience, which -included a large hunk ot the cadet and officer personnel of the 64th Army Air Force Flying Training Detachment. Within the first three seconds of the third quarter, Klassen bad snatch ed the ball for a fast one for the of ficers, which was. followed by a ca- det score by Byrne; then Elaton straightway greased one in for the cadets and followed it with a free throw. The score: Cadets 81; Offic ers lA Bean then came through with a free throw for the officers and Cof fey retaliating with a field goal for the cadets. Both teams at this point were giving it all they had, the cadet particularly, with some hlghpowered passing, culminating in a field goal, a rebound, by Mehen. So hard were the cadets passing the ball that its slap against the players hands re sounded through the crowded gymnas ium. Mehen climaxed a racy court shuttled with another goal.
