But that Is the brief and coimise life history of Lieut. Weldon James, w’ho first saw the light of day In a humble home at Horatio. Horatio by the way is a small village In'Sumter county, about eight miles from Rembert dnd a few miles from Hagood. _ It was in tbe Jamee home at Ho ratio, that Weldon and Lawton James, twin boys, were born.' And these two boys, while still In thelf infancy, were placed In an orphanage, according to the statement of relatives when they lost their parents. But both received their education at Hlllcrest school. Weldon entered Furman college from whence he graduated with honors. He was a Nleman fellow at Harvard uni PVT. ROBERT E. WATKINS, who is stationed In Hawaii with the medl-- cal corps. He was inducted In June at Fort Jackson, and took his basic training at Camp Robinson, Ark. I vt.
