As a matter of facL^Mr. Jones worked for three Innings and in that trio’of frames he fanned nine Merchant bat ters. , - He was succeeded on the mound by a 14 .year old kid named Traynham, who bafned the efforts of the home gang to 'score, holding them to four hits in six rounds. The first game was a good battle lo watch. Home runs decided the tssne. For the invaders a hqmer in the fourth with two^ men on base netted three runs while a circuit clout with one aboard in the sixth netted two more. TTlie score of the game was 5 to 2 and one of the Cam^ den scores resulted from Broom's homer In the fourth.
