Buford, who has successfully served as a Tactical Officer at the Southern Aviation school has'Just been named Assistant Commandant of Cadets according to announcement from the Public Rela tions office of the-^vlatlon post. Lt. Buford is the son" of Mr. and Mrs. George Fair Buford o'f Clinton. He graduated from the Clinton High school In 1938 and from Clemson col lege 'In 1942. He la majfried and re sides at 402 Laurens street, this city. Lt, Buford started service as a 2od Lieut., member of Officers’ Reserve corps at Maxwell field in 1942. He was transferred to Gunter Field at Montgomery, Ala., early this year ^d later canie to the 64th AAFFTD at the Sbiithern Aviation school here.
