Junior-Senior Banquet Friday evening in the high school gymnasium, the juniors of the Camden high school gave the seniors their annual junior-senior party. This year the entertainment was in the form of a dance, with music by the Palmetto Swingsters orchestra. The hall was beautifully decorated to represent a garden, lighted by thp,, glow of small, star-like lights which were strung across the celling, and at the south end of the hall, on a raised platform, was the throne for the queen. Before the. coronation, the honor guests were* welcomed by Billy Mullen. president of the junior class. Billy Clarkson, president eft the senior class responded and later crowned Miss Margie DeLoache queen of the Camden high school. Charlie McCaskill was the queen's escbrt. Miss Caroline Boykln was the matd of honor and her escort was Billy Mullen. Other members of the court and their partners were Miss Margaret McDowell and Johnny Mullen; Miss Frances West and Hughey Tlndal; Miss Doris McfLeod and Luther So well; Miss Frances Rhame and Oscar Wooten; l Miss Miriam Ponds and Pat Thompson; Miss Eunice Jordan hnd Jack Smyrl. Miss DeLoache wore a dress of white mousseline with a long train and her flowers were red roses. The maid's bouquets were pink roses and snapdragops. The Pullen twins, Jean and Joan, w&re the flower girls and each carried a basket filled with rose petals. During the evening refreshments of punch, ice cream and cake, were served by fourteen maids chosen from the ninth grade by the junior class. (Clarkson, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. John Mullen and members of the high school faculty.
