Mrs. Alfred D. Kennedy. McCasklll?Mills Mr, and Mrs. S. A, McCaskill have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mary Ellen, to Herman O. Mills, Jr., of Durham, N. C. The marriage took place in Halifax, Virginia, April 19, the Rev. Ralph Bellwood officiating - Mrs. Millt^ an attractive young woman, was graduated from the Camden hj?h school in 1934, and from the Durham Watts hospital school of nursing in 1937, where she now holds a position. Mr. Mills is a graduate of the Durham high school and received his B. S. degree at Wake Forest. There he was a member of the Ohl Tau fraternity. He is now connected with the Scott coal company of Durham. The young couple will make their home in the Durham Aycock apartments after May 1. Mr#. "Confucius Say" was used as a central themty The Chinese motive was used in both decorations and entertainment. Colorful Chinese [ writings were used on the walls. The tables were arranged In the shape of a dragon, with dragon head aud tall decoratiug the end tables. A program carrying out the Idea, was given on the stage which was beautifully decorated as a Chinese garden. Sophomores dressed in Chinese apron and hats served the refreshments which were blue an^ gold sandwiches, red and white block cream, white cakee decorated with B. H. 8. In red, punch and mints. Favors were attractive program booklets of red with Confucius' head on the oover and miniature bags of rice lq the class color, blue and gold, and red and white with chopsticks attached. Mrs. H. A.
