were served during the evening.

home. They return Thursday, July 27,
to their home in Charleston, West
Virginia.
Mr. and Mrs. von Tresckow also
celebrated the thirty-second anniversary
of their marriage on Saturday.

Miss Hopkins is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas David Hopkins,
of Hopkins. She attended the University
of South Carolina where she
became a member of Alpha Delta Pi
sorority.
Mr. Gettys, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Team Gettys, of Camden, is
a graduate of the University Law
school and is a member of Pi Kappa
Phi fraternity.
The bride-elect will have for her
maid of honor, Miss Martha L. Withers
and her bridesmaids will be Miss

of Camden, cousin of the bridegroom-elect,

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Savage, Jr.,
were hosts at a delightful party late
Thursday afternoon, which they gave
in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Louis
Moyes, of Paris, France. Mrs. Moyes
is the former Miss Adele Savage, and
.she and Mr. Moyes are visiting her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Savage,
Sr. About a hundred guests were Invited,
most of them being former
friends and contemporles of the honor
guest.

Mrs. Wylie Sheorn had as her guest
last week, Miss Beulah Cook, of Lancaster.
Friday afternoon. Mrs. Sheorn
gave a bridge party in honor of her
guest at her home on Mill street. The
house was attractively decorated with
vases of flowers from the hostess
lovely garden and after the game an
Ice course was served with sandwiches
and cakes. The score prizes were
won by Mrs. James Gandy, Mrs. Lee

spent several days In Camden visiting
relatives and renewing old acquaintances.
Mr. Morrell married a Miss
Monroe and left Camden more than
forty years ago. His father once owned
the pond and property on which
the Wateree mill Is now locatod.
Mrs. Thomas Ancrum and her children,
Josephine and Tommy, are at
home, after a visit of several weeks
to relatives of Mrs. Ancrum In I?cust
Valley, N. Y., and Maine.
Walterboro Hotel Man Injured
A l*. Coatello, proprltor of the W*U
terboro Hotel, was fatally Injured at
6 o'clock Friday afternoon four ml lea
from Kdtato Beach when his car left
the highway and collided with a tree,
lie had been spending the week at
the beach and was on route to Walterbo
ro when the wreck occurred. An
eye witness stated that the car gradually
left the hlghwuy and appeared
to have been driven by an uncousolous
driver, the opinion being expressed
that Mr. -00810110 had suffered a stroke
'or had died suddenly ut the wheel.
The car was a complete wreck and If
the driver was alive he met death Instantaneously.
