Miss Katherlne Kennedy and her mother, Mrs. it. M. Kennedy, Jr., entertained at a lovely tea Thursday afternoon. The party was given at the Kennedy home where lovely fall flowers were used in the receiving rooms. I'sing the bride-elect's color motif, the hostess centered the table In the dining room with a bowl of rose-colored flowers and 6 tall lighted tapers. Mrs. It. M. Kennedy, 3rd, dressed in a rose gown, and Mrs. Frank Wooten in blue, presided at the tea and coffee services placed at opposite ends of the table. Rose-colored mints and a beautifully -embossed cake topped with a miniature bride and groom also decorated the table. Sandwiches, cakes, salted nuts and cheese straws were served. At another party given on Thursday in honor of Miss Kennedy, the hostess was Mrs. J. B. Zemp, who entertained j at a bridge luncheon. The bride-elect's place was appropriately marked and she was presented a gift. Ice cream, cakes, and candles were served in the dining room where a Thanksgiving motiff was carried out. The table covers, decorations, and baskets of candy which were given as favors were all in the chosen motif. Th<y white-iced birthday cake topped, with yellow candles centered the ^ table. Mrs. J. A.
