Restaurants Lunch Stands and Tea Rodms. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Camden, in I Council assembled and by the author- I ity of the same. Section 1. Before anyone in the corporate limits of the City of Camden, shall be employed in any barber shop, beauty parlor, soda fountain, hotel, lodging house, lunch stand tea room, or any place handling food for the public, as helper, cook, waiter or other employee, they shall be required to produce a health card, showing that such employee lias stood a physical examination by some repu-' table physician and that they are free from all infectious and contagious di- i senses, and are in sound health. The obligation to require the employee to take such physical examination and procure such health card, shall be a' requirement both of the omplov?e and the owner or manager of said place of business. Provided, however, that i il such employeet shall have in his or her possession such a health card, I in force. f,0m the State Board of | Health of South Carolina, no further | health card shall be required. The | City Council reserves the right to re-' voke any health card upon proper evi- ' deuce that any such employee has ! acquired any infectious and" contagious disease after the issuing of said card. Section 2. Any owner, manager or employee violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be denied guilty of a misdeameanor, and upon beingfound guilty ?f the violation of such ordinance, shall he punishable, in the tliscretion of the'Recorder of the City of Camden, by a fine of not more than one hundred ($100.00) dollars. 6r by niprisonment with or without hard abor upon the public works of the i ity of Camden, for a period rrut exceeding thirty (30) da vs. Done and ratified in Council assembled, tinder the corporate seal of the Lity of Camden.
