C., Dec. l,-~Two children are deacT*and five other members of their family are seriously ill as the result of eating poisoned food here. The dead children are Alive Jordan, 14, and her two-year-old brothejc, Joe. 1 Their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jordan, and three other children are said by attending physicians to be at the "point of death. Members of the family said they had been using a largy calcium tin, which formerly had contained .poison, as a flour bin. ^ They said the tin had been thoroughly cleaned, however, and several times had been used for carryingwater since the poison was removed. The machine will "strip" four rows i of. cotton at once with one man operating it. Estimates were it could disj place 86.5 per cent, of th?? workers ; formerly needed. Mechanical exports 1 of the agriculture department wore cited as authority for the declaration, practical perfection of cotton harvesting machinery lias arrived. The machine, is a development of the "sled" used by farmers.
