Zemp, of the hospital staff presented the diplomas to graduates. Miss E. L. Bobbins, superintendent of the hospital, administered the Florence Nightingale oath and presented the pins. Miss Cleo MuCaskill was the valedictorian Rev. D. M. OIBrien, of the Catholic church, pronounced the benediction. After the exercises delightful refreshments were served. Qraduates are Misses Margaret Cleo MoCaskill, Miriam Lee Inabim*, Mildred Crenshaw, Amelia McDowell, Mary Lee Taylor, Leona Inabinet, 'Elsie Hall Corn and Cleo Hasty. Legion Auxiliary to Meet This afternoon, August 7th, the American Legion Auxiliary will meet at Legion Hall at 5:00 o'clock for the regular monthly meeting. Mrs. William J. Hasty and Miss Cleo Hasty are to be, hostesses. A full meeting is desired as delegates to the convention in Charleston last month will read their reports. Mrs. Ihomas Was Hostess Charming in every detail was the lovely bridge party which Mrs. Joe Thomas gave last Friday afternoon at her home in Kirkwood. The six tables were arranged in an attractive setting of bright zinnias. Two tables were reserved for club members and four tables were for extra guests. The guests' top score was made by Mrs. Carroll DesChamps and the second high was won by Miss Cornelia Aldret. The prize for the highest club member was won by Mrs. Henry Beard and the low fell to Mrs. Hughey Tindal. In the late afternoon delicious congealed salad with sandwiches and iced tea was served. To Have Basket Picnic The .Sunday school of the First Baptist church will have a basket picnic at Lake Shamokin, about six miles north of Camden on the Camden-Kershaw highway, on Thursday, August 19EK7 IT la hoped that?aH Baptists in the community will be present. Dinner will be served at 2 o'clock giving merchants and salespeople plenty of time to be there.
