Trueadale, of dCershaw, and for the past two years has been s popular student nurse at the Camden hospital. Mr. Mickle is a salesman with the Burns and Barrett hardware firm. ?Mrs. Williford Was Hostess I The home of Mrs. J. Lantie Williford, at Brevard Place, was the scene 0{ a lovely affair on 'Friday after-, noon when she charmingly entertained at contract bridge. (Seven Ubles were arranged in the large living room and dinina room, where lovely vases of Queert Ann lace in pastel shades and bright garden flowers were used in the .decorations.; At the conclusion of the game, Mrs. Alfred M. McLeod was rewarded with a lovely vase filled with flowers, for having the highest score. Mrs. ( Henry Beard made second highest and her prize was an attractive letter holder. Not being able to translate the language our office force had to be content to look at the pictures. They ' were to leave on the 5th of July Tor Germany and then were to go to Paris. * Mr. DeLoache was one of the winners in an Atwater Kent auditien contest and since that time hus been < studying music. He will also study music while abroad. The party stated they were having a delightful time and were being shown every courtesy, especially among the large number of English-speaking people they had found over there. ? A crowd of the younger set have been camping at this popular place and are keeping thipgg lively. Legion Auxiliary Met Friday The regular meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary was held July 3 at the" home of Mrs. Henry D. Green, with Mrs. tS. C. Zemp and Mrs. Carl A. West assistant hostesses, Mrs. Marvin M. Reasonover, president, presiding. The meeting was opened with pledge to the flag, followed by the song, "America." .PrAyer was read by the chaplain, Mrs: C. Minutes were read and approved, The treasurer reported we had made $288.43 this year and spent $232.72, meeting all obligations, leaving a credit balance of $55.71. .
