Church of the Transfiguration, New York City, was the scene of a lovely wedding on June 27th at 5:30 p. m., when Margaret Jordan Carrison Ancrum became the bride of Roger Tiask Carleson. The Rev. Gilbert J>arlington, Lieutenant Commander United States Naval Reserve and Rector of the Church of the Heavonly Rest, New York City, officiated. During the ceremony the organist softly played Liebestraum and 'I love you truly." When the strains' of Lohengrin's wedding march weic heard the dames of honor entered,' Mrs. William Ancrum, mother of the j bride, was lovely in blue ehiffon with pink sash, blue hat, la&s mitts and, her flowers were two shades of blue ^'vV.- . delphinium and pink foses. Mrs.' William J. Mayfield, of Camden, S. C., aunt of the bride wore white embroidered mousseline over pink satin with hat and shoes to match.0 Her mitbs were of flesh lace and her flowers blue delphinium and pink roses. r-^The bride entered with her father Captain William Ancrum, who wore the naval uniform of his rank. Her brunette type of unusual beauty was accentuated by her beautiful wedding gown of egg-shell silk net over satin. She wore a veil of tulle which was fastened to a Duchess lace cap and she carried an arm bouquet of Madonna lilies. The bride was met at the altar by the bridegroom, who w'as also in his uniform of the United States Marine Corps and had as his best man his brothor-in-luw, Armand E. Fontaine, of New York City. immediately after the ceremony a wedding supper was served ut the Vanderbilt Hotel, consisting of lobster and chicken salad, sandwiches, olives, celery, coffee, fruit punch and cake. The bride's going-away dress was of brown art4\ white chiffon, with hat and shoes to match. Her gloves were of white. and she wore a corl sage of orchids and valley lilies. Those present were iMr. C?
