Mrs. Ranlet Hostess at Tea. 'S One of the loveliest of in id-winter affairs was the tea given on Tuesday afternoon by Mrs. Josephine Ranlet in honor of her daughter, Mrs. ?has. Wrychoflf, of Ridgefield, Conn. The. attractive affair was given at the residence of Mrs. Edwin QpBose on Fair street. The rooms were thrown ensuite and pretty yellow sweet peas and breath of spring were used in decorating. The table was graced with a lovely lace cover and had a ^center decoration of yellow snapdragons and ferns. On each end of the table burned yellow tapers in silver candlesticks. Small dishes of yellow mints, salted nuts, cakes and other confections carried out the color scheme of yellow and white. .Mrs. Ida Heath poured coffc^ and Mrs. Edwin DuBose poured tea. Mrs. W. I>. The club is educational in purpose j and is designed to acquaint children i of graded school age wibh the works of Shakespeare, and in such a way that it will appear to them like play. At the same time .it prepares them for high school English studies. The plan consists of story hours for children when groups .will meet once a week and ^ell iShakespeare's J stories in simplified form. After j the story telling there will be an j opbional dancing class at wlvich in- I struction in elementary steps and fig- ! i ures will be given. There will be no additional charge for the dancing. Aside from the fact that members of the club are improving their education and mastery of English there is the social feature of the dancing class.
