Worth, Texas., April 17?The District Attorney's office today announced that* A. I\ Boyt, a barber had confessed to the slaying of two negroes who attempted to rob the First Stute Hank of Polytechnic, a suburb last Thursday, was framed by four white men in u plot to collect a reward. The plan was to have the negroes hold up the bank and slay them on the scene for a reward of $f),000 offered by the Texas Hankers association for each slain bank robber. The association, however, announced it would not pay the amount 1 or the slayingH here as the Polytechnic bank did not contribute to the reward fund. Boyt made his confession after charges of murder were filed against him and John Alsup, fromer policeman. Two negroes, Will Tale ami George Terrell, were slain by Alsup, who told, officers he had an advance tip on the robbery. The assistant cashier of the bank was wounded seriously in the dJ(rha\ge of shots as thu robbers fled. Boyt told county authorities he met the c"rinu' leader" about three weeks before the shootings and discussed the plans. He said that he and a companion later wanted to withdraw, but thie "ring leader" called them "a couple of kill joys" Gii the day of the attempted rob la-ry, Hoyt said he took the negroes picked out for the job in his automobile to the vicinity of the bank and let them out. C., April 10.?The body of Mi?>h Virgie Nicholson, pretty 22-year-old blonde of Norfolk, Va., who took her life by swallowing' poison in a hotel here last night, is to be sent back to Norfolk today. Police attributed the suicide to despondency over u love affair with a young Greensboro bank employe. Two notes she had written on hotel stationery told of her disappointment and indicated she was tired of living. She was a telephone employe.
