She has for a number of years been in the leaching profession and has held positions In some of the largest high schools of this slate. She will be greatly missed by her friends in this section. Mr. Schenk is a prominent business man of Camden, having large Interests in that section. He Is a young man of sterling qualities and highly regarded by all who know him. The many friends of this popular young couple throughout the state wish them many years of happy married life. A large and enthusiastic meeting of the Junior Civic Lcagjte was held at the home of Miss Henrietta Jolinhson. Wednesday afternoon. Miss Johnson presided and many matters pertaining to civic work discussed. Among the most Important, the fountain in Ker shaw park. This memorial to Camden's six Confederate, generals has been n matter of much concern to the civic worker#*, as it seemed almost impossible to keep it ornamental, or even sanitary. It is the wish of our people generally to keep the memory of our gallant dead sparkling' In this Confederate memorial, but so far it has been an impossible task.
