It is a'?o proof of the sincerity of the farmera of the county lu theif effort*' to diversify. The association will conaist of five block* ami five wellibred bulla with a preponderance of Chro Senas ti on blood, all direct descendants of Blue Fox 'a Bniment's Chromo, the first 1000-<pound bntter cow in "Dixie. Three of tho bulls are sorts of Chromo Sensa tion, who now heads the Clemson Col lege Jersey herd. The fourth hull is a son of Blue Fox's Eminent, who sired li !|Ue Fox's Eintnent's Chromo. The fifth bull Is a Kreat -grandson of Bluo Fox Eminent. Thus all the buWs in tho association are direct descendants from Kminent breeding. The bull keepers of tho five blocks are; Block 1, E F Hammond. Ker shaw ; Block 2, E R Rollings, Kershaw; Block 3, R S Kirk, Heath Springs; Block 4, J Boyd Craig, Lancaster; Bloek 5, J. R. Wilson, Van Wyck. Lancaster Couoty is now one of the few counties in the state with two bull associations for the limwovoraent of dairy cattle. Considerable work was done by the frpecinlist during the period of organizing the new association in strengthening the Old "association which has been In use for three years, and in creasing interest in dairy work was found among the farmeis who are mem bers of the old association, and many farmers other than members are now joining the ranks of cream shippers, all of which gnes to show that the or ganization of a bull association bene fits not merely the meml>ers but farm ers of the entire section who are with in reach of the association work.
