It is true that some of the landlords say they are willing. to make certain re pail's for a good tenant, but it has been my experience after years in the business, that it is best to put your house in attrac tive shape firs* and you will quickly get a tenftUw. Here arc some pointers for women who would help regenerate their community with a real "Clean Up and Taint Up" cam paign: Each campaign involves the renova tion of the interiors of bulldiugs as well as yards, streets and alleys. . Borne revenue can be derived from the sale of waste paper, During the "Clean Up ami Paint Up* campaign is a good time to have rub blsh cans placed upon street corners, for the deposit of papetv? ? Nothing will do more to improve tht appearance of a town than the lll>eral use of paint. Useless and unsightly outbuildings should be torn down. . . Business houses need attention.
