The most of this/ road is part of a daily mail route, besides there is also considerable traveling done by others. The said road is certainly in bad condition. I have heard that it was said that to clay this road, they would have to haul clay three ?>r four miles. Now as I live on this section of the said road, I will prove to any man if he will only come out here that that statement is incorrect. At the extreme they would not have to haul the clay over three quarters of a mile. Now, whoever doubts this, only come out here and I will prove it to him. Then too. I heard that It was said tl would take $10, (KM) to cla.v this road from "Sandy drove church to Lynches. It is only seven and a half miles from Sandy (J rove to Lynches river. In our judgment if a man were to take a contract to clay it at $000 I?er mile he could clear good money, and this cost would not be half what I hoard it would cost. The commissioner from this town ship said before he was elected that he would have some work done on thls_ road. He said of course he could not promise to have It clayed, but bo would have some work done on it. Now. Mr. Township Commissioner, this is elec tion year and we will Ih? compelled to swap If you keep on -balking, and not pulling. Is this not a free country? You will answer yes. Is not justice . one of the fundamental principles of our constitution? You will answer yes. Then prove it hy giving us part of it. I think that if this road is not given some work before, the next gen eral assembly meets, the taxpayers will son^ a petitionvto that honorable body to have this said road re-instated. Now, we are entitled to some consid eration so give it to us. Voter. Four Dollars After nark.
