Foster against tine .Journal Pub lishing Company, a suit for $15,000 damages, was won by the newspa.i>er in the Court of Common Pleas here today, when the jury rendered a ver dict in favor of the defendant company. The trial -of the case has consumed the greater part of two days. ? Mw. Foster, who is the superintendent of a large fertilizer company, was the owner of a hull alleged to have gored to death a negro more than a year ago. Over an article published in the .Journal touching the incident a head was written in which it was made to appear that the owner of the bull was a negro. The headline read. "Negro Says Ills ltull Not Vicious." The body of the article referred to "Mr." Fos ter and spoke of Mr. Foster's negro servants." The ^ult was brought on the ground that Sl>.
