A.. inspected the local Company last week. Kvery man of tho company was at his post, ' ex cept five. Of these Sergeant Boykin is at the Citadel,. and Private Trot ter at Clemson. Tho other three ab sentees wcr*' unavoidably detained and out ot' the county. The company passed, as usual, a very satisfactory Inspection. Capt. Bench am caused each officer to drill tl>e company, and then ordered the squad drill l>y the Corporals. Ser geant Birch more was also put in charge of the men. Captain Bea cliam especially noted the good con dition of the rifles and side arms.
