School Closed. The Hanging Rock school closed for the term last Friday night with appropriate exercises by tho pupils. Stevens, drop ped (lead suddenly in Kershaw Mon day night. He is thought to have sustained a stroke of paralysis on Sunday, but was up and about on Monday. Levy, one of the most highly respected colored women of Orangeburg, died In -a Columbia hospital Sunday and the burial took place Tuesdayx af ternoon in Orangeburg. She was born and reared in Camden and was a sister of Eugene Dibble, of this city. Eugene went down to attend the funeral and said the floral of fering^ and the sympathy shown the bereaVed family was touching to him ? from both races. The following is from Tuesday's issue of the Orangeburg Times and Democrat: "The many white* friend! of T. J. Levy, the barber, sympa thize deeply with him on account of the death of his wife, which oc cuwed at a hospital in Columbia on Sunday morning. Levy and his fam?j ily are among the leading colored, citizens of Orangeburg, and his wife* had the esteem and respect of all who knew her." Pardon to NejfroeH.
