A tall vase of lillies at one end, and n bowl of pink roses at the other completed the decorations. No, not quite, tor tho twenty pretty little girls with thoir white frocks aud varied color ed rlbbolis, thoir sparkling eyes, and sunny smiles formed a verita ble borrdor of pink and daisies, lil ies and roso buds around the fes tive board. In every detail the color schepie of pink and white was carried out; the cakes were snowy white and rosy iced and the cream and candles showed the purity of tho lily and the flush of the rose. The favors were boxes of candy. Tho following four little maids, representing on older set woro tho attractive waitresses: Mlssea Nina nolle lllnson, Mary McDowell, Wil lio Hollo Mnckoy and Sarah Steed man. Tho little honoree received a number of dainty gifts which she will keep as a happy reminder of ho^ seventh birthday. Oamden Needs a Hand. "Camden should have a band" was hoard on every hand on Friday last at the May Festival. Nearly JMOO has been paid out Bince the County Fair to bands from outside when there is better material at home. Of course all the money does not go out of the town and advertisement pays. The Kershaw band paid their expenses and their railroad tickets were bought in Camden. This mo ney was expended in the town helping citizens which pleases .the the Civic League as much u? if they had kept the money in their treasury, for its aim is to help the town. The League wishes to thank all who assisted in and patronisod the Festival, and aside from the monetary consideration, feels that May Day should become an aunual Festival of pleasure and profit and civic pride to all as it was in the * days of long ago.
