The meeting ran very interesting both in the number present and the Interest shown in the reports of work already accom plished and Mie willingness to un dertake more for the future. McGhee, of Charies I ton, will be in the city tomorrow to | look further intto hte matter of in I augurating an electric car schedule between Camden and Rock Hill. The proposition is to have tne ear arrive in Kock Hill every morn ing In time to make connections with the train for Charlotte, and re turn after making connections with the train from Charlotte. This will prove a great convenience to the people living between Camden and Kock Hill, as it would enable them to spend the day either in Hock Hill, or Charlottte. Mayor Koddey and others inter ested have been working on tne matter for some time. Supt, McGoe was here a few days ago looking in to the matter and a couple of Hock Hill boosters offered to bear halt the loss if there was any, if the train was ptu on for 30 days trial. Cit,> Council Meeting. At the regular monthly meeting of t h e city, council held ' uesday night, an ordinance was passed re quiring the southbound southern trains to come to a sop at the | crossing near the Court Inn. or else place ? watchman there to signal (pedestrians. This is a dangerous crossing. One man has been killed [there and only recentlyy two mules were killed and the driver severely injured. An ice cream dealer requested Council to have the ordinance rela tive to delivering ice cream on Sun day that had been ordered on Sat urday amended. The matter w-as referred to the city attorney and the ordinance will stand -as it ,B L. T. Stewart, who is doing "pe dal duty for the city, asked to be put on the police force regularly again. He has been attending to the gasoline lights of the city which are used in lieu of electric lights. He will go oik the force when an other vacancy occurs. The Fire Department requested the city to furnish them with one thousand feet of hose. This matter wa8 referred to the fire committee jpith power to act as they gee fit. The Council agreed to pay hair th e expenses for the new uniforms that have been ordered for the P?~ lice force, which are expected to arrive at an early date. You Can't Get Any Better ? ?
