Howard Ferris, eldest son of Rev.
?luhez Ferris, will regret to learn i
that he is dead. His death occur
red at Bartow, Fla., on Thursday of;

operations at a hospital in Phila

To Regulate The Placing ol
Garbage in the City of Cam
den, S. G.
Be it ordained, by the City Council of
the. City of Cumden, S. C.. frotji and af
ter tb*' passage of this Ordinance :
1. That it shall be unlawful for any
person or persons to place, or deposit, or
to cause lo be placed or deposited, on any
of the parks, streets or sidewalks of the
City of Camden, any dead animal or fowl
or any decaying animal or vegetable mat
ter or any filth or sweeping of residen
ces, stores, offices or other buildings, or
any waste ptipor, straw, hay. broken
glai>3. tack, piece of tin or metal of any
kind whatever, which in the opinion of
the Mayor or City Council may he a nui
sance, or which mav endanger pedestri
ans or those who travel in vehicles
2. That all trash, tilth, garbage or oth
er matter mentioned in the prcceeding
section, shali be sA placed upon the prem
ises of the property owners, from time to
time l hat the same may bo conveniently
taken from said premises by the agents
of represent atircs of the City of Camden.
3. That any person violating the pro
visions of this Ordinance shall upon con
viction bo lined in a sum not exceeding
twenty dollars ($20 00) or be imnriaonod.

in the discretion of the Kernrder of the
