Dear Ella: It has been such a lonjr time since I heard from vou that 1 am beginning to J think you have forgotten me. 1 wish vou could see how changed Camden is, yon would hardly recognize, in the flourishing city of to-day, the quiet, antiquated looking old town of a few years back. It ba? become quite a Northern resort, and the Northern vis itors have done rnu'-h towards stirring up the sleepy old town into greater activ ty. Many of the old, dilapidated houses have been bought v,y Northern men ami made inio surprisingly handsome resi dences. The polo and golf grounds are sources, too, of pleasure and recrcation to the Camd?n people. Camden already has n large cotton fac tory and an oil mill, and a much larger and finer cotton factory is being now erected. Then them are her railroads, w hich are makingfter a railroad center, besides adding greatly to her advancement and convenience. So. vou see, Camden is getting up in the world at last, and will soon bo on a par with Columbia. It i? getting late in the rtay, so good bye.
