A writer to one of tho <Uiily pa pom has this to say yJ; O'sindcn : ?'The coming of the Seaboaid Air Line to Camden opens a new era of progress for the town. Or at least that in the fond hope <>f her well- wishers. The place has long been h winter resort, but the very inadequate railroad facilities have served to keep away a groat many visitors. The winter tourist did not like the Inconvenience .>f changing from one road to another and often haviug to wait quite a Vbilo for a connecting train. Now thnt the town Is on a through lino the discomfort of traveling will l>c reduced to a minimum. I ho rail road will ae<^ that the place is well ad^erUfred,' and as a eonsequeuco Camden will probably be ??yei (low ing with visitors next winter. Camden has now two of the great southern railway systems ? tin Seaboard Air Line and JLhe South ern railway. A connection of the Atlantic ('oast Line is now build ing from Sumter here. When that is completed Camden will enjov with Richmond, Va., Columbia and Denmark, S. C.? the distinction <>f being the only places in the coun try touched by these three great systems. In fact Richmond is nol yet in that condition, as the Sea bf?ard trains are not yet running into that city over its own tracks." From Miij. Magi! I.
