Perhaps he has discuvet-ed a '?system" or an "oligarchy " Mr. Browning was given but little attention. The audience was evident ly getting enough Mr. John T. Duncan had his gun loaded and let 'er roll. He was the iast speaker. Each of the other can didates for governor also spoke. After the m?et>ng a good deal of politics was talked on the street, but there was no disorder. A number of our county candidates were present, and they mixed good naturealy with the crowd, putting in a word as op* portunity afforded in their respeotlve interests v We aru glad that the day passed off as pleasantly as It did. Elaborate preparation were made for the oooaalon, acd every feature of the oelebratlon proved a ?uooess Crowd* poured into the town from many sections until the atreets were orowded. The vailoua floats were artiatlcally gotten up, and were eapeolally designed to advertise Ker abaw. If the hundreds of visitors present were impressed as we were, tbey readily reached the oonolusion that Kerabaw was the largest town for Its Blze in 8outh Carolina. Baker's farm, along with ail the rest were foroeful evidenoe of the thrift and enterprise of the people of Kershaw and the surrounding coun try.
