Meetings of the Association will be held from time to time during the winter months and a committee wa8 appointed to arrange a program for the various meetings. Arrangements will be made for B "field day" some time in the spring, the date to be named later. On this occasion many phases of school work' will be demons!rated. All schools in the county will be asked to ake part in tlio exercises which will consist of athletic contests, orations, essays, ppellinc matches ami such o.'hcr features of school 'vork as the committee may decide upan. Sullivan filled his regular appointment at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon. The Chesterfield Baptist Association will meet with the Patrick Baptist church on Thursday before the fourth Sunday in October. Mrs. W. F. Win burn and Mrs. D. W. Turnage spent Friday in Cheraw. Mr. W. J. Panky, who has been working at Andelusia, Ala., for the past year, returned home Friday. Mr. H. B. Poston spent Monday in Columbia. Misses Emma, Mary and Wilma Poston returned home Wednesday after spending several days with relatives near Middendorf. Dr. and Mrs. L. L. Gregory spent a few days of last week in town.
