In Hamburg the nature of the soil is such that no very tall buildings can be erected, and there are few that have as many as ten floors. Meeting of T. I). C. On the afternoon of June 3rd, the Cheraw Chapter, U. D. C., will entertain the old veterans at the home of Mrs. H. E. Godfrey. At this meeting crosses of honor will be presented to two Veterans and addresses will be made by Major McLauchlin, and Mr. George A. Malloy. There have been quite a number of real estates transfers in Cheraw and vicinity lately through the various lapd agencies, and judging from the uumber of outstanding options, there are quite a number to follow. The Maynard-Raley Realty and Trust Company have taken quite an active interest in Cheraw real estate having disposed of several lots in the' city. They report that they have several outstanding contracts with prospective purchasers and entertain great hopes of several iarge transfers in the near future. Dr. Jas. T. Ladd is having a nice brick building, fronting on the public source. He recently bought this lot from the Maynard-Raley Realty and Trust Company. The First National Rank has also mrchaaed a lot from this firm, 'hat frohts on the public square. This agency will have a large add in the next issue of The Chronicle?look for it.
