Book Wanted That little book "Sim's Statistics of South Carolina" that has been lost for some time has no doubt been put up by some one in their library and forgotten. The book is needed very badly by the owner and it would be very much appreciated if the party who happens to have it would find and bring it to the Chronicle office at once. A Request to the Chesterfield Delegation Now that the legislatu re is over I guess that the candidates will be -waltzing around shaking hands. The caddidate is generallp a pretty good fellow and is always pleasant and your friendwhile he is a candidate, Mr. Editor, I wish you would interview our senator and representatives and get them to tell us what they did while in Columbia. Of course, we all know they went to Winthrop and to Charleston and to Clem son and to Anderson and that tney were handsomely entertained while there aud that they took their friends with them and ^ that they all had a good time and > colleges all they wanted and de? dined to investigate affairs at Clemson but what else was done. I reckon the appropriation bill was passed because I saw in one paper where they passed,a resolution of thanks to Hon. T. P. Crothan for the nice manner in which he fixed up the bill. And the levy, how much did they nlake it, and what did they do for Chesterfield county. Is the county to get on a cash basis? I don't care much myself, but there are readers of your paper who would like to know what was done. Observer. .??
