Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Williams and Mrs. Mark Conner were visitors in Greenville last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Striker and Rickie of New Jersey were week-end guests of Mrs. Lottie Birch and other relatives. Mrs. Birch spent the week recently with her son Mr. Mike Birch and family in Greenville. Mrs. Jessie Austin J Union spent the week-end with Mrs. Inez Smith. On Saturday, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Austin and Joseph Smith visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Brown m Vaucluse. Mr. and Mrs. M> Ivin Seay, Maxie and Miss Teresa Seay visited their son and brother, Pvt. Owens. Attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Whitmire, Mr. and Mrs. Allen White, Mrs. Ezzie Miller, Machem Kirby and Mrs. Nora Kirby and Burl Kirby of Laurens. Mrs. Owens was also a sister to Mrs. Kirby. Mrs. W. L. M itte with Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard Reeder of Laurens, visited their son and brother, Billy M-tte in the Veterans Hospital in Augusta, Ga. on Saturday. Mrs. Herbert Fallawacco- panied her sister, Miss Ber nice Nelson to Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood Sunday where she was admitted for foot surgery. Mrs. Everett Seegars and Melody and Mrs. Gertie Craw ford of Chattanooga, Tenn. were week-end guests of the formers sister and the laters grand daughter, Mrs. Tim Williams and Mr. Williams. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Wil liams and Mrs. Earl Williams visited the latters brother, Mr. Dan Ragsdale in Salem. Mrs. Johnny Mann and dau ghters, Dianne, Dana and Wanda, Miss Donna Davis of Laurens, Mrs. Johnny Walker and Dandy and Miss Becky Waters were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Drank Walker. In the afternoon, Mrs. Kate Nelson of Laurens, Billy and Randy Brinkley and Frank Cooper of Waterloo visited the Walkers. Mr. and Mrs. Benny Owens and children of Tay lors came for supper with the Walker family. Mrs. Luther Fuller < if Green wood and Mrs. Maxie Reeder of Joanna visited Mrs. J. W. Fuller and Mrs. Lois Pos on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Fennell have moved to Florida and their son Mr. Bill Fennell, Mrs. Fennell and Steve have moved into their former home on Musgrove Rd., Route 1. WITH THE SICK Louanne Templeton is ill at her home. James Edward Hurley, in fant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Hurley is a patient in Bailey Memorial Hospital. PRAYER GROUP MEETING The Prayer Group of the Lydia Baptist Church Baptist Women will have a Christmas meeting and covered dish sup per on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the social hall of the church. Gifts will be exchanged and each one will hang their extra dollar for the Lottie Moon Christmas offeringon the tree.
