VOTE YES for the LAURENS DISTRICT HOSPITAL You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby’ “You’ve Come a Long Way Baby” was the theme of the ten year reunion banquet of the Clinton High class of 1960. Saturday night at Lakeside Country Club. The weekend of festivities began Friday night with games and square danc ing at a Hee-Haw Party at The Barn. Families of the class mem bers gathered at a coke party Saturday morning at the Country Club. Clinton High col ors of red and white de corated the club rooms. That night souveniers and pictures of Clinton High days in 1960 were displayed on a memory table to help demonstrate the banquet theme. An arrangement of red, white and blue flowers with an Ameri can flag were on a desk where classmates signed a petition for Cliff McKittrick, who is miss ing in action in Vietnam. Participating in the reunion program were Ronnie Moore, master of ceremonies; Jim Dobbins, class president; Mrs. Kenneth Mann, class vice- president; and Mrs. George Richard Buford, who read an original and humorous poem about various class members. Forty members of the graduating class of ninety-one attended the banquet Faculty members who were guests were Mrs. Shirley Timmons, Miss Frances Sheely, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Wilder and Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Tedards. After a drawing for door prizes, the group danced to the music of Bill Clamp’s Combo. Ledford Heads Drive For Henderson Jim Henderson, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, has an nounced that Len Ledford has agreed to serve as chairman of the Laurens County Cam paign for Henderson for Lieu tenant Governor. Henderson declared “I am happy that a man of Len Led ford’s ability and leadership is going to be involved in this campaign. He and other volun teer workers are the reasons we will succeed in our efforts”. Ledford is affilliated with the Clinton Paper Box. The Led ford’s are members of the First Presbyterian Church. A native Georgian, Mr. Ledford has been editor of weekly and daily newspapers. During World War Two, he was a pub lic relations officer in the U. S. Air Force. L E.
