Long re ceived his high School education at Clinton and A BA degree in 1964 from Presbyterian College in 1968, he was awarded a mas ter of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Rev. Long is married to the former Miss Lorraine Patterson of Clinton, S.C. The couple are the parents of two children Jeanne, 6, and Dennis, 4 years of age. He served as youth Director at the First Baptist Church of Whitmire from 1962-1964 and was ordained into the Ministry by that church on November, 29, 1964. Rev. Long has served as pastor of the Union Baptist Church in New Haven. Ky. Prior to accepting the call to Whitmire he served as pastor of Sandridge Baptist Church in Ridgeville, S.C. LEHMAN* Lehman Joins Bailey Bank Trust Dept. Stephen Edward Lehman has joined M. S. Bailey and Sons, Bankers, as TrustAdministra- tor, according to President Robert M. Vance. “This newly created position Is of considerable importance in continuing the growth and expansion of our Trust Depart ment services,* said Mr. Vance. Lehman, a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School, attended Presbyterian College and re ceived a B. B. A. degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia in August. A native of Joanna, Lehman is the son of the late George Lehman, and Mrs. Mary Eliza beth Lehman. J.L. Ritchie Is Promoted Capt. James L. Ritchie IV, was promoted to that rank on September 27 while serving as a helicopter pilot with the 45th Medical Company in Vietnam. Capt. Ritchie will complete his tour of duty in Vietnam the mid dle of November. He is the son of Mrs. Eliza beth L. Ritchie of Clinton. His wife, Judy, and daughter, Jill are making their home in Greenwood while he is away. Judy, has been attending Land er College where she received a B. C. 29325 Infirmary Low Bid $193,889 A low bid of $193,889 for Presbyterian College’s pro posed new infirmary has been submitted by the C. Y. Thoma son Company of Greenwood, PC Business Manager G. Edward Campbell announced today. He said the figure beat eight other construction bids sub mitted by these companies: Harper Builders of Wiiiiam- ston, $207,612; Sherman Con struction Company of Green ville, $216,365; W. E. Baker & Son of Whitmire, $220,864; Taylor Construction Company of Greenville, $224,984; Tri angle Construction Company of Greenville, $228,730; G. E. Moore Company of Greenwood, $229,061; Fiske-Carter Con struction Company of Spartan burg $230,400; and W. W. Brit tain Construction Company of Spartanburg, $238,758. Campbell said the finance and budget committee of the board of trustee will make an of ficial decision on thebidswith- in the next week. He expects construction on the new infir mary to begin later this fall. It will be situated on PC’s east plaza, next to Greenville Dining Hall. The PC group also received the Houser Award for the most improved chapter and was cited as a “Champion Master Chap ter* on the basis of service, scholarship, membership and participation.
