Bedenbaugh KINARDS - L. Dow Beden baugh, 72, of Rt 1, Kinards, died Friday in Greenwood. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Lelia Shealy Bedenbaugh. He attended Laurens County public schools and Newberry College. He was a retired auto mobile dealer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Harmon Bedenbaugh of Kinards and Harmon M. Beden baugh of Boca Raton, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Carol DeVore of Kinards; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at McSwain Funeral Home. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery. I. H. Estes John H. Estes, 49, of Wood land Acres, died Thursday. A native of Woodruff, a son of Mrs. Daisy Turner Estes of Clinton and the late Sam Estes, he was an employee of Lydia Mills and was a veteran of World War H. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Earline Ballard Estes; two daughters. Miss Sylvia Estes of the home and Mrs. Susan Adams of Clinton; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Wehunt and Mrs. Billy Abercrombie of Clinton and Mrs. James Bowers of Columbia; three brothers, J. C., James and Oliver Estes of Clinton; and a grandson. Funeral services were held Saturday at Gray Funeral Home. Burial was in Pine- lawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were: Tommy Moore, W. C. (Buddy) Camp bell, Ted Davenport, Hudson Davis and James McMelhanon. Mrs. Ambrose LAURENS - Mrs. Helen Bag- well Ambrose, 85, of 543 Han sen Circle, widow of Rowland Ambrose, died Friday. A native of Anderson County daughter of the late Billy F. and LouBagwell, she was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fara Hunnicutt of Joanna. Other survivors include two other daughters and two sons. Funeral services were held Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial was in the Barker Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Theodore Blakely Theodore Blakely, 81, of 313 South Bell Street, died Tues day. A son of the late Thaddeus and Roxana Wadsworth Blakely, he was a veteran of World War I and was employed by Sea board Air Line Railway for 38 years before his retirement. He was a rpember of New Bethel A ME Church where he was a trustee and steward and was a member of Consolation Mas onic Lodge 3. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Gene Prather Blakely; a son, Oliver B. L. Blakely of Clin ton; two daughters, Mrs. Lois T. Wilson of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Clara B. Hunter of Clinton; three sisters, Mrs. Al- meter Brown of Bremington, Wash., Mrs. Lois T. McDowell of Hyde Park, Mass., and Mrs. Mildred Wrice of Washington, D. C.; and twelve grand children. Funeral services were held Sunday at New Bethel A ME Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. * * * Mailer Infant Kimberly Jean Miller, in fant daughter of Roger B. and Kitty Lou Miller of 8 North Garden Circle, Greenville, died Wednesday. Surviving also are a sister, Sonia Lou Miller of the home; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hollis of Clinton, Mrs. Emily C. Bowen of Greenville and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Miller of Joanna; her great-grandpar ents, Sam Wier of Newberry; Mrs. Ralph Copeland of Clin ton; Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Rogers of Fair Bluff, N. C., and Mrs. Guy Miller of Kinards. Mrs. Penland JOANNA- Mrs. Bertha Ma- ness Penland, 68, widow of L. C. Penaldn Sr., died Sunday in Clinton. She was a daughter of the late Taylor and Cathleen Ma- ness. Surviving are four dau ghters, Mrs. Sara Strong of Fayetteville, N. C. and Virg inia Rikard, Mrs. Kathleen Gaf- fiiey and Mrs, Pamela Ginn of Joanna; thre sons, R. D. Moates of the home, James C. Penland of Clinton and L. C. Penland, Jr. of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Eddie M. Kinsey of Joanna and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Gray Funeral Home.
