Set Saturday
“United and Service no more
fitting tribute could be paid
our Poppy Program,” said Mrs.
H. M. Young, president of Unit
56, American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Young stated that since
1921 when the Memorial Poppy
was first adopted, United we
have proclaimed to Americans

flower of remembrance for all
Americans.
The fashioning of the poppies
in the V. A. Hospital in Co

der the supervision of vol
unteers whose only regard is
the satisfaction of service for
others is well known to all.
Assisting Mrs. Henry Cron-
ic, Poppy Days chairman, will
be other members of Unit 56
and some of the Blue Birds and
Camp Fire girls. The posters
in the downtown area are be
ing made by the representatives
selected for Palmetto Girls
State.
Citizens are urged to wear a
Poppy to show they remember
