Boyce visit ed Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sims and daughter in Greenwood on Wed nesday and on Christmas day, they enjoyed dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Guy Misenhiemer and Mel in Chester. Susan Davenport, student of Carson - Newman in Jefferson City, Tenn., and Linda Davenport, student nurse at Greenville Gen eral Hospital are spending the holidays at home with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dav enport. MORGANS ANNUAL PARTY On Wednesday evening, Dec. 24, the Morgan family met at the Joanna Club House for their annual Christmas party. The group of 32 enjoyed a delicious meal, afterwhich Santa arrived to hand out the gifts. On Dec. 21, Mr. and Mrs. Buck Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morgan and Tony Jojned other relatives in Batesburg for a holiday get-together at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Morhoney. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Simmons and their family enjoyed a get- together with a dinner at the Joanna Club House the day be fore Christmas. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Simmons of Due West, Mrs. Bessie Perry, and Mrs. Francis Balchin and son of Abbe ville, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sanders and Angela of Murfrees boro, Tenn. Where is it? The answer is Brooklyn. N. Y.—which at one time was a separate town in its own right, and as such ,was the third largest city in America. Pat terson County Savings Bonds Chairman. Combined sales of E and H Savings Bonds and Savings Notes for November in the state were $2,533,670, according to Robert G. Clawson, State Cliair man of the U. S. Savings Bonds Committee. In the nation, combined sales of E and H Bonds and Savings Notes for November totaled $298 mil lion. ASSIGNED — Airman Daniel R. Iveater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anb R. Ivester, of 801 Sloan St., Clinton, has com pleted basic training at Lackland A F B, Texas. He has been assigned to Sheppard AFB, Texas, for training in the trans portation field. Airman Ivester, a 1968 graduate of Clinton High School, attended Clemson Uni versity. Morgan Attends Roberts Seminar David Morgan of Clinton, re cently attended a special seminar held on the campus of Oral Ro berts University, Tulsa, Okla homa. The University hosted some 400 guests at the invitational seminar. Featured speakers were President Oral Roberts and several of the ORU faculty mem bers. The seminar, one of a series held on the ORU campus during the year, brings an estimated 3,000 visitors to the campus. The seminars are directed towards laymen, ministers and youth. In addition to the seminar visitors, some 36,000 additional people register annually for tours of the campus which has been termed “space age" by many of the guests who view it for the first time. * * * Holcomb Member Furman Choir Brent Holcomb of Clinton, is a member of ConcertChoir at Fur man University for 1969-70 aca demic year.
