Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lark and children of Raleigh, N.C, spent Thanksgiving Day with his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. B.P. Lark. Mrs. B.P. Lark spent the week end in Piedmont with her sister, Mrs. Anna Callahan. Mr. Lark joined her there for Saturday ev ening and Sunday. He also visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lark in the Easley Rest Home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy South have visited his father, Leroy South of Whitmire at intervals, since his operation illness at Self Mrmorial Hospital in Green wood. Congratulations to Dan South for making the Honor Roll at Piedmont Tech in Greenwood, where he is studying Electronic Engineering. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cason of Cleveland, Tenn. spent the week end with his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Fred Cason. Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Carter of Chester visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mathis Sunday. Westminster Plans Christmas Party The Westminster Fellowship of Presbyterian College will sponsor a Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 9, for 65 children ages 3-12. Some 65 students at the college have “signed-up" for the 65 children thereby having a ratio of one college student per child at the party. The Christmas party will be held in the First Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall from 3-5 p.m. next Tuesday. Through the help of the Laurens County Welfare Department, the names and parents’ approval of the children’s participation were ob tained for the PC students. The Women of the First Presbyterian Church will provide the refresh ments. A puppet show, gifts, threats, and Santa Claus will all be apart of the afternoon’s gala time. ENTERTAIN AT DROP-IN — The Cantesuta Camp Fire Girls entertained the Camp Fire Lead ers’ association at a drop-in Tuesday, November 26, at the Hut. The girls prepared and served refresh ments, which included assorted cookies, nuts, po tato chips, patty shells, filled with chicken salad, and pineapple punch. A comucopiai was used as the centerpiece and other decoratioins and napkins in a Thanksgiving theme were used. Young studied at Bob Jones College in 1938-39, and in 1944 received a B.A. in Theology from Gordon College. In 1945 he received an M.A. in Bibli cal Education from Columbia Bible College.
