INTERESTING FACTS By Tom Plaxico Oddly enough, the famous Monroe Doctrine | was NOT written by James Monroe—the man it | was named after! • The Monroe Doctrine was announced in 1823 and became a fundamental policy of the U.S., hold- | ing that foreign nations had no right to seize any part of North, Central or South America. The Monroe Doctrine was actually written | by John Quincy Adams, who was Secretary of | State at the time, under President Monroe. | And, here’s another interesting fact . . . i Plaxico Chevrolet has a fundamental policy too and it has worked quite well for 17 years— f We don’t high pressure ANYONE to buy our prcd- | uets. We take great pains to list every feature on ' Our vehicles, to explain in writing all finance | charges, to record our warranty on the car invoice.
