Bring W-2 Form
To File For
Social Security
How much money did you make
last year? This question is asked
of every person who applies for
social security. We don’t ask this
question just to pry> says Mr.
Gunter of the social security ad
ministration. This information is
needed to allow us to make a cor
rect social security payment.
Mr/’Gunter says that every
wage earner or self employed
person who is coming in to file
for social security should bring
his W-2 form or tax return for
last year. This way, when that
question is asked about earnings
for last year, the information will
be right at hand.
