Copley (Other obituaries on Page 8-A) AIKEN - Burt C. Copley, 42, died unexpectedly Saturday in an Augusta, Ga., hospital. Mr. Cop ley suffered a fatal attack while playing tennis. He was married to the former Betty Taylor of Clinton. A bro ther, Charles T. Copley, recent ly moved to Clinton where he is associated with M. S. Bailey and Son Bankers. Other survivors are three daughters, Misses Hunt, Julie and Ginny Copley; a son,BurtC. Cop ley Jr. of Aiken; his mother, Mrs. Thurmond H. Copley of Ai ken; and two other brothers, WU- liam C. aqd Gerald L. Copley of Aiken. Funeral services were con ducted Monday morning at First Presbyterian Church in Aiken with burial in Bethany Cemetery. All are rising seniors except William J. Coward III of Green ville, who was graduated from PC in May and will be com missioned as a reserve second lieutenant at the end of the sum mer camp. Jenkins will join the Presbyterian College faculty this fall as a visiting associate professor of sociology, Dean W. Fred Chapman announced today. Dr. Jenkins recently completed two years of post-doctoral work in sociology at the University of Georgia and also has done post doctoral work in philosophy at Tulane University. He earned his ThD at New Orlenas Baptist Seminary in 1954 after acquiring his BA from Mississippi College and his BD from the Southern Bapitst Seminary.
