1 g.A—THE CHRONICLE, Clinton, S. C., June 12, 1969 Mrs. Brown Mrs. Pearl Stewart Brown, 82, of Rt 3, Clinton, Hopewell com munity, widow of George Thomas Brown, died Monday at a local hospital. She was a native of Green ville, but lived near Clinton most of her life. She was a daughter of the late John Newton and La- vinia Barbare Stewart. She was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church and the WSCS. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Mable) Skelton of Ander son; two sons, Stewart 0. Brown of Clinton and Marion N. Brown of Lexington, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) Miller of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. G. P. (Annie Mae) Brissey of Green ville; nine grandchildren; and se ven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted Tuesday at Gray Funeral Home. Burial was in the church cemetery. Luther Green Luther “Luke" Green, ^6, of Giddeon Hill, died Tuesday, June 3, at a Greepwood hospital. He was born in Laurens Coun ty, son of the late Tom and Laura Yeargin Green. He was an employe of Clinton Milling Co. Surviving is his wife, Louise Henderson Green. Mrs. Funeral services were con ducted Sunday at Wateree Baptist Church near Clinton. Burial was in the church cemetery. C. L. Fulmon KINARDS - Charlie Lee Ful mon, 63, of Little River-Domi nick community, Rt. 1, Kinards, died Friday in a Columbia hos pital. He was a lifelong resident of Newberry and Laurens counties, son of the late David Charles and Susan Tomlin Fulmon. He was a security guard at New England Mobile Home plant and a mem ber of Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church. He was a veterian of World War 11. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Merchant Fulmon; a son, Charlie Lee Fulmon, Jr. of the home; two brothers, Colie and John H. Fulmon of Newberry; and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Bobb of Kinards and Mrs. Mollie Smith of Lexington and Red Bank. Funeral services were held Sunday at Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church with burial in the church cemetery. T. C. Haddon Graveside services were held Monday for Thomas Crawford Haddon at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton. Mr. Haddon, 77, died Saturday at his home at 2600 Chapel Hill Rd., Durham, N.C. A native of Due West, he was a former resident of the Green ville area. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Blackwell Robins Haddon; a son, Thomas C. Had don Jr. of Atlanta; a stepson, James J. Robins Jr. of Dur ham; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude H. McRae of Rockingham and Mrs. Esther H. Hege of Lexing ton; a brother, Ralph G. Haddon Charlotte; four grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren. Mrs. Adams MOUNTVILLE - Mrs. Lucinda Adams, of the Piedmont section, widow of Dan Adams, died in a Clinton hospital Thursday. She was born in Laurens Co unty, and was a member of Wo man’s Aid Society 48 and the Lily of the Valley chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are three sons, Perry Adams of Mountville and J.B. and Larry Adams of Green- boro, N.C.; a stepson, William Pitts of Montclair, N.J.; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Floyd of Mountville, Mrs. Bernice Toland of Kinard, Mrs. Odessa Rice of Clinton and Mrs. Corrlne Byrd of Greensboro; and a brother, Preston Bar tee of Clinton. Funeral services were conduc ted Sunday at 4 p.m. at Piedmont Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Thomas Sanders CLINTON - Thomas Sanders, 70, of 5 Horn St, died June 3, at a Clinton hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton, son of the late Willie and Lucy Hatten Sanders. He was a member and deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a member of the New Bethel Masonic Lodge 266, New Bethel. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Sanders of Clinton; three sons, James, Robert and William Sanders of Clinton; a sis ter, Mrs. Emmaline Davis of Clinton; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons. Funeral services were con ducted Sunday at Flint Hill Bap tist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Thomas JOANNA - Mrs. Ella Bart lett Thomas, 89, widow of Em mett L. Thomas, died late Mon day in an Aiken County hospital. She lived in Joanna for 40 years before moving to Bath five years ago. She was a daughter of the late James Robert and Harriett Collins Breazeale and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. L. (Annie) McCravy of Chester and Mrs. George (Vari- na) Wilson of Bath; a stepdaugh ter, Mrs. Lottie Thomas Row land; a son, Fred O. Bartlet of Spartanburg; two stepsons, Edwin L. Thomas of Joanna and William P. Thomas of Green wood; a sister, Mrs. L. D. Wat kins of Whitmire; 13 grandchild ren; and several great-grand children. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at Gray Fun eral Home. Burial was in Rose- mont Cemetery.
