The vows were read by the bride’s pastor, Rev. W. L. Hun ter, before an array of pink and red roses. Tlie bride was lovely in a pink, street-length dress. Miss Anita Williams, the groom’s sister, served as flower girl and Miss Shirley Young was maidof honor. Odell Moses, was best man. Miss Sherita Moon provided wedding music. A reception was held immed iately following the ceremony. Mrs. Mattie McCracklin pre sided over the punchbowl while Mrs. Clara S. Young was receiv ing the gifts. Mrs. Williams, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Jones, is a 1968 graduate of Bell Street High School. Mr. Williams, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ullysee Williams, is a memlier of the current grad uation class of Bell Street High. Both are employed at C, W. An derson Hosiery Plant. Following the wedding, ttie flowers were carried to the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Essie Dill ard, at Bailey Memorial Hospi tal where she is a patient. The wedded couple is at home on Elizabeth Street. VISITING IN CALIFORNIA Mrs. Matilda Wesley and Mrs. Asa Lee Sanders, both of Clin ton, left Saturday on the East ern Air Line for Haywood,Calif., to visit with their children. MISS FOX HONOR GRADUATE Miss Janice Marie Fox, grand daughter of Mrs. Emma Duncan of West Carolina Ave., Clinton, will be an honor student among the 7,000 graduating from Michi gan State of Lansing, Michigan this year. She was valedictorian of her class at Ml. Olive, N.C. High School where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fox now live. Mrs. Fox, who is a native of Clinton, teaches in the public school system of Mt. Olive. REV. AND MRS. SCOTT VISIT Rev. and Mrs. Roosevelt Scott and their son Mr. Bernard Scott, visited their relatives (the Thompson family) this week, here in Clinton. Mrs. Scott is the former Miss Elizabeth Thomp son of Clinton. The Scott’s son, Joseph, a 1969 graduate of Livingston Col lege in Salisbury, N.C. is to tie married at Soldiers Memorial AME Zion Church of Salisbury, this week. Rev.
