JohnSteve Cooper of Okla homa is spending a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper, before going to Ft. Bragg, N.C. Mrs. Gary Taylor has joined her husband, Gary Taylor, at Ft. Jackson, where he is stationed and will make their home there. Mr. and Mrs. Lorrance Peace and family of Greenville spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Karnes. Mrs. Wendell Robertson of Greenville spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Keaton and was joined by her husband on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kamrick were guest of their grandchild ren, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kam rick and his sisters and brother, Kathy, Mary, and Robert inSpar- tanburg, Sunday. On Friday Miss Sybil Wind sor and Miss Marion Prather were visitors in Columbia. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Adams on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Campbell and family and Mr. and Mrs. Mar tin Wallis of Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. RalphBearden visited Mrs. Bearden's mother, Mrs. 0. L. Gwinn in Inman, Thursday. Mrs. Ada Center, Miss Bessie Koltzclaw, and Mrs. Vesta Mae Eubank spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Luke Fuller in Greenwood. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kubert Leopard were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Fulmer and daugh ter, Barbara Ann of Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Keather- ly visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Heatherly, in Lancas ter, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shelton was in Charleston on Sunday due to the death of J. D. Carson, formerly of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Freddie I eaton of Laurens visited Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Creswell, Sunday after noon. CHRISTMAS PARTY Mrs. Fred Shelton entertained her nursery with a Christmas party on Sunday. About 30 boys and girls enjoyed games and refreshments. Mrs. Raye Sim mons and Miss Emily Shelton helped with the party. Mrs. Shelton remembered each one with a Christmas gift. DARCAS BIBLE CLASS The Darcas Bible Class of Calvary Baptist Church held its regular monthly meeting and Christmas supper on December 10 at the Clinton community build ing. The meeting was opened by Mrs. Lee Ila 1 eatherly, Mrs. Eva West had the devotion and after the business meeting a prayer of thanks was given by Mrs. Mattie Bell Ivester. After a nice supper, gifts were exchanged. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM f ‘ The First Penticostal Holi ness Church on Jackson Street will have their Christmas play, Sunday night, Dec. 22, start ing at 7 p.m. The Rev. J. Fur man Entrekin, the pastor, gives everyone an invitation to come and see it. CHRISTMAS PARTY The Senior High Class of the First Penticostal Holiness Church will have their Christmas party on Monday night, Dec. 23, at the parsonage. The teacher, Mrsf’EtTrifian"Entrekin, ask that everyone be there at 7 p.m. ENJOYED CHRISTMAS PARTY On Thursday night, Dec. 12, the Bible Class of the First Penticostal Holiness Church had their Christmaspartyatthe home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Webb and enjoyed a covered dish sup per. All enjoyed singing Christ mas carols and fellowship to gether. CHRISTMAS PROGRAMS The Sunday School of the Church of God on Elizabeth St. will give out fruit on Sunday morning. On Monday night, December 23, a Christmas play entitled “No Trumpet Blowing” will be pre sented at the Church of God on Elizabeth Street. Mrs. Myrtle Foster is in charge of the play. Rev. F. D. Allard Parker, pastor, gives the public an invitation to attend. SHOWER Mrs. Gail Blackwell was honored with a shower on Satur day night, Dec. 14, at the Clin ton Community Building. About 20 ladies enjoyed the occasion. Refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Loretta Hanks, Mrs. Alice Faye Beaman, Mrs. Lib Bagwell, and Mrs. Phillis Watkins. Mrs. Blackwell received many nice gifts. BIRTHDAYS Willie Dominick will observe his birthday Dec. 30. Mrs. Johnny Mayson will cele brate a birthday Dec. 25. Tina Caughman was two years old Dec. 16. ' K Hank Caughman and Mrs. Loretta Hanks observed their birthday Dec. 2. Cindy Wilbanks celebrated her birthday Dec. 3. SICKNESS Barry Simmons is sick. Donnie Cauble has chicken pox. Mrs. Ray Cauble has been ill but is better now. Mrs. Georgia Trammell has returned to work after being ill last week. Tim Entrekin, the son of Rev. and Mrs. J.
