Ttie bride-elect is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Kitt Rion McMaster, Jr. of Winnsboro and the granddaughter of Mrs. Kitt Rion McMaster and the late Mr. McMaster of Winnsboro and Mrs. William Hugh Simpson and the late Mr. Hugh Simpson of Clin ton. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Vincent Nicholson and the grandson of Mrs. Angus Rose Nicholson and the late Mr. Nicholson or Ridge way, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Woodward Palmer at Ridgeway. * * * Mr. and Mrs. James G. McMillan, son of Mrs. Jody McMillan and the late J. C. McMillan, has recently l>een pr<rnioted from Superintendant iif Dyeing and Processing to Man ager of Coates and Clark Thread Mill, Albany, Ga. Mr. McMillan has been employed by the mill for several years. Mr. McMillan, originally from Clinton and now a resident of Albany, is married to the former Kathleen Mode of At lanta, Ga. and they have two child ren, Brian and Kit. * * * * * * Capt. Frank C. Young, Jr. who is stationed in Frankfurt, Ger many arrives today for a few days visit with his mother, Mrs. Frank Young. * * * George Frady underwent sur gery at Duke last week. Mrs. Frady was with him there but returned home on Friday. * * * Miss Shirley Simpson, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Simp son of Calhoun St., Joanna, left Sunday for Self Memorial Hospi tal, Greenwood, where she will take training for x-ray techni cian. * * * Visiting Mrs. N. W. McDaniel the weekend of June 15 were her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Coker, and granddaughter, Mrs. Allan Wight and children of Asheville, N.C. Mrs. Alex Cruickshanks has returned to her home in Gaines ville, Fla. after spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W\ G. King, Sr. Mrs. King has recently returned to her home, having been ill in Bailey Memorial Hospital the past two weeks. * * * Ensign Mike Reddeck, who is stationed in Quantico, Va., spent the weekend at home, June 22, 23. * * * Mr. Henry Chandler spent sev eral days last week in Washing ton, D.C. attending the Repub lican Candidates Conference sponsored by theRepublicanCon- gressional Committee. S. D. Leake UNPiN Sam D. Leake, 75, brother of Thomas J Leake of Clint' 'ii, died Saturday morning in a Columbia veterans hospital.
