Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wooten, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Beckham, and Mrs. Bobby Wooten and children visited Mrs. Cecil Wooten’s parents, Rev. and Mrs. George James in Duncan, Sunday. Rev. James is ill at his home. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hooper and Mr. James Laney and son, Mi chael, of Greenville visited Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Laney, Sunday. Mrs. Betty Floyd and children of Greenwood spent Saturday with her mother, Mrs. Annie Mae Caughman. Early Owens of Ft. Ricky, Fla. visited his brother and sister- in-law, Mr. andMrs.J, J. Owens, after taking his son, Dean, to Nor- fork, Va. Naval Base. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Bearden and family of Cedar Falls, Iowa is spending two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bearden. Sunday Mrs. 0. R. Rollins and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boyce and LeJune visited Mrs. Rollin’sson, Rev. R. W. Rollins in Hamlet, N.C. Those who visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson and family in Saluda, Sunday, were Joe Caugh man and Mrs. Annie Mae Caugh man. Mrs. Inez Sorrow of Green- woood is spending this week with Mrs. Rosa Owens. Mrs. David Owens spent sev eral days last week with rela tives in Greer and Spartanburg and Mrs. Willie Mae Anderson of Spartanburg returned to spend a few days with Mrs. Owens. Weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Stroud were their son, Howard Stroud of Columbia. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Claude Farmer visited Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hembree and Miss Annie Put man in Gray Court. Mrs. L. C. Heaton and Miss Sara Nell Heaton spent a few days in Columbus, Ga. with their daughter and sister, Mrs. Bar bara Jean Wells and sons. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders were guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bardy Cannon and children in Greenville. Sgt. and Mrs. Martin Brazill and Mrs. Jinger Creel of Biloxi, Miss, and Cecil Brazill of Col umbia spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Windsor and Miss Sybil Windsor spent the weekend with Mr. Tan Windsor at the Naval Hospital inCharleston. Pvt. Michael Entrekin of Ft. Gordon, Ga. spent the weekend with his parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. Furman Entrekin. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Fulmer and daughter, Barbara, ofJohston were Sunday guest of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Heaton and family and also visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Leopard Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ivester and children of Spartanburg; Gail Whitman, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burnette and children, and Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Ivester and son, Danny, of Clinton enjoyed a picnic dinner at the State Park, Sunday. FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION Mr. Frank Simpson was hon ored with a surprise father’s day dinner. All his step children and other relatives were there. Among those who attended were their daughters, Mrs. Wilma Sue Scott and daughter, Dianne, Mrs. Juanita Bradberry and children, Sidney and Sheron, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Medlock, Mr. and Mrs. Berdie Medlock, all of Green wood; their sons, Bobby and Sgt. A. P. Scott and families of Col umbia; Mrs. Willie Mae Ander son of Spartanburg; and Mrs. Grace Owens of this city. He received many nice gifts. Mr. Simpson returned to Green wood after dinner with all his step-children. SICKNESS Mrs. Ralph Bearden is a pa tient at Bailey Memorial Hos pital. Mrs. Ada Center is sick at home. Mrs. Glenda Dominick has re turned home from Greenville General Hospital after under going surgery. Tan Windsor underwent sur gery on Monday at the Naval Hospital in Charleston. Mrs. Beatrice Meeks has re turned home after undergoing surgery at Bailey Memorial Hos pital. WEEKEND REVIVAL A weekend revival will begin June 26 and run through June 30 with Lara Sluder of Green wood as the speaker at the Church of God on Elizabeth St. Rev. F. D. Moore, pastor, offers the public a cordial in vitation to attend. REVIVAL Revival services continue at the Church of God of Prophecy on Sloan St. with Danny Baker, a sixteen-year-old evanglist, as guest speaker.
