SARAH SFGARS Among the out-of-town rela tives here Friday for the funeral of Mr. James 0. Denny were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Alexander of Statesville, N. C., Miss Virginia Addison of Charlotte, N. C., and Mr. and Mrs. William Hollings worth of Greenwood. Mr. Denny passed away Wednesday in a Col umbia hospital. Mrs. E. P. Boazman, Mrs, for Congress R. W. Griffin, Miss Agnes Lea- man and Mrs. R. B. Segars visi ted the Denny family in Colum bia Wednesday night. Ft. and Mrs. Hayne Workman, Jr. of Ft. Stewart, Ga., visited relatives over the weekend. Friends sympathize with Mrs. Ray Chandler in the loss of her brother, Mr. Charles Bostic. He died in an Augusta hospital and was buried in Greenwood Wed nesday. Mr. Bullock, the father of Mrs. Lowell Craft passed away in Greenville last week. His funeral was conducted at the First Bap tist Church Wednesday. Rev. wnd Mrs. John Turner spent several days last week at Myrtle Beach. They were there for a medical meeting. Rev. W. F. He is stationed on the Destroyer, USS Brush DD 74 5, is port in San Francisco, California, after duty in Vietnam. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cauble have returned hyme after a week’s vacation with their son Chief Petty Officer Devaughn Cauble in Hawaii, going by jet plane from Greenville - Spartanburg Air port. Enroute while in Los An geles, Calif., on layover they were met by another son, Lavoke Cauble who lives in San Diego, Calif, enjoying a couple of hours visit together. Mr. and Mrs. Fzzie Miller and Jimmy, Mrs. DonaldJackson and Dickie Jackson were in Rock Hill Sunday for the graduation at Winthrop College. Mrs. Miller’s daughter, Miss Gloria Jackson, was one of the grad uates. on Monday, Mrs. Miller, Jimmy, Miss Jackson and Mrs. Jackson visited in Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstrap, Jr. have visited her brother, Horace Fair at Greenwood Self Memorial Hospital, at intervals since his illness. Miss Martha Furr of near Clinton spent Sunday with Miss Lizanne Wright. Mrs. Fred Bodie and Mrs. Mary Patterson spent the week end in Monroe, Ga., with their son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Patterson and family. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pitts and Donny with Mike and Kay Berry of Fork Shoals joined them and all enjoyed the day at Six Flags Over Georgia in Atlanta. Mrs. Mary Fallaw is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Lt. and Mrs. Douglas Hippy in Fair born, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Temple ton were called to Greenville Saturday night liecause of the unexpected death of tier br tlier, Weston Barnett. She remained in Greenville for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Joel Templeton and children were at his uncle’s home on Sunday. Funeral services were held Tuesday. WOMAN’S CLUB On Thursday evening the Lydia Woman’s Club field their May meeting at the Community Building with Mrs. Sam Madden president presiding. She reported the postponement of the trip to Columbia until later. After the business and the devotional, which was given by Mrs. Glenn Gaskins, the hostesses, Mrs. Ralph Riddle and Mrs. George Tucker served a salad plate and cold drinks.
