Mrs. David Wore' and Wil liam Weir were in GreonviUe on Tuesday of last week to be with their brother Wilbur Weir at the time of Mrs Weir’s surgery, in the Green ville General Hospital. Mrs. Jim Bailey has been spending several days with her sou and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bailey in Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Trammell and Phil of Green wood were Sunday dinner guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Mc Clendon and Debbie of Greenwood and Mr. and Ernest Kellett of Ninety-Six visited Mrs. McClendon’s and Mrs. Kellett’s father, C. J. Blackwell and sister, Mrs. Virginia Wilson last week. Mr and Mrs Lamar Mc- Carroll of Laurens also visi ted her mother and grand father. They were here also because of the death of their aunt, Mrs Walter N. Black- well. Mr. and Mrs Troy Hudson and son of Walterboro and Mrs Fulman Branham of Winnsboro were here Tues day for the funeral of Mrs. W N. Blackwell Mr and Mrs Waters King and family of Nashville, Tonn., were called here on Sunday the 7th because of the death of his mother, Mrs. Henry King. Mrs. King’s sis ter Mrs. Linner Prather and family of Joanna and broth ers, Sidney Goff and family of Loesville and John Goff of Aiken were also here along with a number of other friends and relatives Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Smith and Mrs. Louise Callahan and children of Union visited their daughter and sister, Mrs. J. B. Vanderford and her family, during her illness last week. WOMAN’S CLUB The Lydia 'Woman’s Club will meet Thursday (tonightl at 7.30 p. m. at the Lydia Woman’s Club.
